Teresa (Terri) Gail Loften passed away on February 18, 2018, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Seville, Spain on October 13,1959. Terri spent most of her childhood years in Alma, GA and graduated from Bacon County High School in 1977. She attended ABAC and served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. While in the Air Force she worked in the intelligence field and served at several bases in the U.S., as well as in Europe. Travel was one of her passions and she especially enjoyed her time visiting and living in Colorado. Much of her career was spent in web design and she worked for several years at Emory University in that role, and as a graphic designer for Milliken Carpet in LaGrange, Georgia and in California. Her custom carpet designs were used to carpet the lobbies of several resort hotels. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Richard T. Loften.

A private memorial service will be held at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church at 189 Elizabeth Chapel Church Rd., Alma, GA 31510 at a later date. Inurnment will be held in the church cemetery.

More recently she had lived in Louisiana and Colorado and worked in the human resources department of an oil and gas company, and then for Hallmark Cards in the Middle Georgia area, while living in Cochran. Terri always loved her animals and leaves behind her beloved Goldendoodle, Kaz and cat, Lucy. 

Survivors include her mother, Gloria Taylor of Waycross, GA, sisters Elaine Steeley (Chris) of Cochran, GA, Katherine Brossette (Morris) of Waskom, TX, and Karen Woodard (Kirby) of 

Shreveport, LA, and stepmother, Kathy Loften of Shreveport, LA. Special thanks to her many aunts, uncles, and cousins and to those at First Baptist Church of Cochran who ministered to her during her illness. 

The family requests that donations be made to Serenity Hospice in Dublin, GA or that Gideon Bibles be given in memoriam.
