Myrtle Louise Holland, age 81, of Alma passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6th 2013 at her home after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Alton Haselden and Eva Jones Haselden. Myrtle was preceded in death by a daughter Lorrie Holland Oxford, two brothers Theron Haselden and Ed Haselden.  She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, George E. Holland of Alma, two daughters, Diane Force (Dan) of Waycross & Arlene Boatright (Terry) of Surrency, three sons, Robert Holland (Kim) of Odum, Charles Holland (Debra Ann) of Mershon & Clint Holland (Shari) of Alma, three brothers, Roger Haselden, Don Haselden (Brenda) & Jones Haselden (Jan) of Alma, two sisters, Aurex Cauley of Blackshear & Jeanie Gaskins (Billy) of Alma, 10 grandchildren, Wendy Oxford, Clay, Cliff & Lance Holland, Penny Holder, Kelli Thornton, Shellie Harter, Lea Parker, Jana Yawn & Cody Holland, 9 great-grandchildren, Dusty Oxford, Grant, Eva, Jordon, Parker, Abby and Riley Holland, Cole Holder, Amelia Parker, two sisters-in law, Edna Haselden and Nell Haselden of Alma and two special friends, Ludell Roberson and Rose Turner.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 o’clock at Big Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Stone, Bro. Mark Ledbetter, Bro. R.B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church Thursday at 10:00 o’clock to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Max Tillman, Edwin Mullis, Greg Turner, David Lowe, Punkin Moore and Kyle Carter.  Honorary pallbearers will be; The Adult Sunday School Class of Big Creek Baptist Church and Hospice Satilla.
