James Earl Williams, age 75, of Alma passed away Saturday, April 29th at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. after a short illness. He was born on September 30, 1941 to the late Earnie Floyd Williams and Mary Magdeline Taylor Williams. James was retired from Milliken.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Williams, three sons, Stevie Williams, Joel Williams and wife Melanie and Robin Williams all of Alma, a brother Waymon Williams and wife Edith, two sisters, Genetha Deen and husband Larry and Sharon Foster and husband Linton all of Alma; also 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 2nd at 2 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Noah Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral from 12 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Stevie, Joel and Robin Williams, Michael Wasdin, Peyton Williams and Reece Hyers. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary escorts.
