Fannie Francis Waters, age 76, of Alma passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Appling County on June 22, 1941 to the late James Leo Patterson and Sally Miles Patterson. Mrs. Waters is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Waters, a son, Benjamin Ralph Waters, three brothers, Junior Patterson, Dewitt Miles and Billy Patterson and two sisters, Dorothy Patterson and Audrey Patterson.  She was employed with the Bacon County High School Cafeteria for 27 years before retiring in 2001, and was a member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Troy Waters (Susie) and Roy Waters of Alma, a brother, Gary Patterson (Mary) of Baxley, GA., two sisters, Annie Ruth Gilliam (Randy) of Alabama and Dianah Smith (Curtis) of Baxley, GA., two grandchildren, Tiffany Sprinkle (Matthew) and Courtney Miller (Cody), four great-grandchildren, Lane Williams, Addie Day, Lee Waters and Brocklyn Miller and a former daughter-in-law, J. C. Waters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 30th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Parnell Aldridge and Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving  friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Hunter and Chad Toler, Richie Taylor, Sammy Boatright, Herman Patterson and Jameson Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will Dr. Carter & Staff and the Bacon County EMS Service.
