Woman charged with battery for hitting child with a baseball bat

An Alma woman was arrested last week for hitting a child with a baseball bat.

Sara Snow, 28, of Alma, was charged with battery in the incident. The child was transported to Bacon County Hospital with minor injuries.

And, motorists continue to be caught with drugs while driving around the community.

The Alma Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit charged Diana Rene Entrekin, 46, of Alma, with possession of methamphetamine after stopping her vehicle for a minor traffic infraction.

On the same day, three Hazlehurst youths were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana after a traffic stop.

The Alma PD and the GBI investigation into the disappearance of a 68 year old Willie Frank Wooden enters it fourth week on Tuesday.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Alma PD at 632-8751. Wooden’s family is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading directly to his discovery.
