Lady Raiders are raring to go

The BCHS Lady Raiders played their first game of the season last week, a scrimmage against Richmond Hill, and came out the winners, 8-7. “The Richmond Hill game was a very intense and challenging one for our program. The team worked hard to fight and stay in that game,” said new BCHS Softball Coach Kelli Poff. Aniston Johnson hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to put the Lady Raiders ahead by one, only to lose the lead in the very next inning. The girls were able to come back in the bottom of the seventh to win it. See more photos in this week's Times. — Photo by Gavin Vickers
