A convicted robber and gang member from Texas’s “most wanted” list was arrested last week in Alma.
The U.S. Marshals office took Agapito Salinas, 45, Brownsville, Texas, into custody after BCSD Investigator Cade Cartledge was able to locate him at a residence here.
“We were notified he was possibly living here,” Cartledge told the Times. “On our second check of the residence, we were able to confirm this to the Marshals.”
Investigators say Salinas, was wanted for parole violation and had been a fugitive since April, 2015. He had served time for drug and burglary convictions. Records show Salinas in 2003 was convicted in Dallas County of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
In an unrelated incident, the Alma Police Department arrested Christopher Dinning, 33, and Tessa McNabb, 44, both of Alma, for theft by receiving stolen property.
Dinning and McNabb were stopped for a traffic violation while operating a vehicle reportedly stolen from Wayne County. McNabb also had outstanding arrest warrants in Alma.
